In a family business the qualification is not gating anything — you are already in. What is worth buying is the specific competence you lack, and possibly a network outside the business.
What to check
- Short courses in finance, operations or people management, taken as needed.
- If you want the network, that is a real reason — but then the cohort is what you are paying for, so pick on cohort, not on price.
- Two years of running something teaches more than two years of studying it.
