A promotion needs a postgraduate qualification
Our verdictDo it — this is the clearest case there is.
Where a written promotion policy names a postgraduate degree, the qualification is doing a job no amount of performance can do for you. The cheapest entitled degree clears that bar exactly as well as the most expensive one, because the policy names a degree, not a brand.
What to check
- Check the policy wording first — some name "MBA", some say "any postgraduate degree", and the second is much easier to satisfy.
- An open university online MBA from about ₹38,000 clears a degree requirement as fully as a ₹2,00,000 one.
- Ask for the UGC-DEB entitlement letter covering your intake year before you pay.
