I want it for a government job

Our verdictOnly if the notification says so — read it before you pay.

Government recruitment follows the wording of the specific advertisement, not a general rule. Some posts name a degree from a recognised university, which an entitled online or distance MBA satisfies. Others say "regular" or "full-time", which it does not.

What to check

  • Find the eligibility clause in the actual notification and read it word for word.
  • "Degree from a recognised university" — you qualify. "Regular" or "full-time" — you may not.
  • If you have a choice, take a degree rather than a PGDM. A diploma may need AIU equivalence, and that is an argument you do not want at a document check.
